2004 Apr 25 - Henman wins Monte-Carlo doubles

Tim Henman's disappointment at not progressing further than the quarter-finals of the Tennis Masters Monte-Carlo singles tournament ended on a more positive note as he and Serbian Nenad Zimonjic defeated the Argentineans Gaston Etlis and Martin Rodriguez 7-5 6-2 to take the doubles title.

After the victory Tim said:

"It's a lot of fun, and when you win it's even more enjoyable.

And his doubles partner Nenad added:

"I've been struggling to find a consistent partner, and I will try to persuade Tim to play with me at least one more time."

Tim is not a regular on the doubles circuit but has taken 4 ATP doubles titles in his career, the last was some 5 years ago at this very same event. Here are the doubles tournaments Tim has won:

    2004 : Monte-Carlo (Monaco) : partner Nenad Zimonjic (SCG)
