Job Description

An enthusiastic, passionate and reliable coach required to help with the junior and adult tennis programmes. The post is for the new academic term in September and most class times start after school from 3:30pm. The role could be suited to a coach that is looking to expand their knowledge and experience. The main roles will be to assist the Head Coach with junior and adult sessions and to help maintain and increase numbers in the development and performance programmes. Some junior sessions will be delivered solely by the appointed coach which will allow for that person to develop their own identity as a coach. Approximate hours of group coaching will be between 15/20 hours per week Monday to Saturday. Occasional Sunday Internal Tournaments. Overview of the venue/company

Cotham Park TC is a friendly and sociable four court outdoor tennis club (2 tarmac and 2 artificial clay). The club is situated in a leafy and slightly secluded suburban area. SimonPorterTennis is a company that provides different levels of coaching at Cotham Park Tennis TC for all ages and abilities within the Cotham, Kingsdown and Redland areas. The club also has good school links to three primary schools.

Person Specification

The ideal candidate for this role would have good experience coaching and working with juniors and previous experience working with adults is preferred. However, it is essential that the person has good communication and motivational skills. The chosen candidate will be supported toward their Level 3 Coaching Qualification.
