2005 Mar 22 - Brits prepare for NASDAQ-100
Tim Henman has received a bye into the second round of the NASDAQ-100 Open in Miami, while compatriot
Greg Rusedski faces a qualifier in the opening round.
The British No.1 appears less concerned with the competition and more concerned with the weather conditions
in Miami. He said:
"It's very challenging playing in Miami because of the heat and humidity, which is a tough combination.
"It can also be very windy so I need to have a realistic expectation of how cleanly I should be hitting the ball."
Last week Tim fell at the quarter-finals stage of the Pacific Life Open which resulted in dropped world ranking
points because he reached the final in 2004. Tim is therefore hoping to regain the dropped points, and he will by
progress further than the second round in Miami, where he fell last year. Tim told his personal website:
"I was a bit disappointed with my last match in Indian Wells.
"But I'm fortunate that I've got a chance to make amends in another Masters Series event so soon afterwards.
"I've still got a few days to work on my game before I play and I'm hoping to make the most of that time to be
in the best possible shape by the time my first match rolls around."
