2005 Mar 16 - Henman reaches quarter-finals

Tim Henman dropped a set on his way to defeating the Spaniard Tommy Robredo 6-4 2-6 6-2 in the forth round of the Pacific Life Open at Indian Wells, USA

In the opening set the British No.1 dropped his serve before fighting back to break the Spaniard twice and taking a 1-0 set lead.

The same format followed in the second set but this time Tommy was able to hold serve and level the scoreboard.

With all the play for in the final set it was Tim who snatched a decisive break and closed out the match.

Of his performance today, Tim said:

"I felt in my matches that my rhythm in between points hasn't been great.

"That was the one thing I did well in the third set. I really picked up the level in the third, which is a good sign."

In the quarter-finals Tim will face the Argentine Guillermo Canas - a man he defeated in their first meeting back in 1998 but has lost all four matches since.
