2004 Dec 20 - Murray claims forth Futures title
Andrew Murray defeated Frenchman Nicolas Tourte 6-4 5-7 7-5 in the final of the Pontevedra Futures
tournament in Spain to end a superb season for the 17-year-old British tennis sensation.
This represents his forth Futures title this year - last week he also won the
Spanish Ciudad de Orense Futures to add to the titles he won in Italy and Spain earlier in the year.
When coupled with winning the US Open junior title, being selected for the Great Britain Davis Cup squad,
playing legend John McEnroe in Superset Tennis and being voted BBC's Young Sports Personality of the Year,
the young Scot couldn't have imagined such a prolofic year of experiences and achievements.
Andrew and his coach have both stated their desire to step up and compete in the main ATP draw at some point
in 2005 but this will not be before he attempts to claim the Australian Open junior title in January.
