2004 Mar 14 - Henman cruising in Pacific

Tim Henman received a bye in the first round of the Pacific Life Open in Indian Wells (USA) and so his first match of the tournament was against the 25 year old Canadian qualifier Simon Larose.

The British No.1 has been making light work of the early rounds of most tournaments he has competed in this season and at the Pacific he didn't disappoint. Tim quickly ran through the first set 6-3 in routine style and didn't let up in the second set to secure it 6-2.

With little over an hour on the court this was little more than a practice session before Tim faces the talented Spaniard Alex Corretja - who has already defeated his compatriots Tommy Robredo and David Ferrer in the first and second rounds.
