2004 Mar 13 - Henman pleased for Rusedski
Tim Henman and Greg Rusedski may not be the best of friends but the British No.1
is pleased his closest rival has been able to clear his name and can now concentrate
on his tennis. He said:
"I'm so glad he's been able to prove his innocence.
"I've said all along that he just wasn't the type of person that would take something.
"He knows you're not going to get away with something like that with the drug-testing
programme already in place.
"The last six months must have been absolutely horrific for him. You wouldn't wish that
on your worst enemy. To be able to put this behind him must be such a relief."
Tim is currently at the Pacific Life Open tournament in Indian Wells, USA. He was given a
first round Bye, and in the second round defeated the Canadian Simon Larose in
straight sets 6-3 6-2. He will now face the Spaniard Alex Corretja in the third round.
