2004 Jan 07 - Henman straight sets in Doha
Tim Henman was in full flight against Juan Ignacio Chela as he crushed the Argentinean 6-3 6-4 to book
his place in the third round of the Qatar Exxon Mobil Open.
With Juan ranked 38 in the world this could have been a tougher match than the scoreline showed. However, the
Argentinean has seen a dip in form in his previous two tournaments the Stockholm International and Paris Masters
going out in the second and first rounds respectively.
After the match Tim said:
"It has been a good start for the year. I have good memories about this place.
"I think I played my best tennis in the second set. I could have made it a little easier,
but I missed a few shots."
The next round will see Tim face the experienced Armenian Sargis Sargsian - who having dropped the first set
came back to defeat the Russian Mikhail Youzhny (3-6 6-3 6-2).
