2003 Oct 10 - Henman cruises past Bjorkman in Vienna
Tim Henman continued with his impressive form since parting with former coach Larry Stefanki
by securing a straight sets victory (6-1 6-4) against the tricky Swede Jonas Bjorkman in the CA Trophy in Vienna.
After the match Tim said:
"I played very consistently today. I was serving well and getting the balance right. It was a very
good match for me."
Before this match the British No.1 had only claimed two wins against Jonas in seven encounters,
and that includes losing the last two in the Australian Open in 2002 and Nottingham in 2000.
Up next in the semi-final Tim will face either the Spaniard Carlos Moya or the German Nicolas Kiefer.
Neither will be easy, but Tim would probably prefer to face the German having beaten him without
dropping a set in their last 3 matches.
