2003 March 16 - Ivanisevic's last Wimbledon?

2001 Wimbledon champion Goran Ivanisevic hints that this year may be be his last Wimbledon Championships.

Goran missed the opportunity to defend his 2002 title due to constant shoulder pain which subsequently led to shoulder surgery and even talk of having to quit the game.

In 2003 Goran's desire is as strong as ever. He said:

"I am going to come to Wimbledon even if they have to push me there in a wheelchair.

"If it is my fate to leave tennis this year, then Wimbledon will be my last tournament. I will play the All England and then decide what next."

The start of 2003 has not exactly gone to plan for Goran, as he has either lost or withdraw from all 4 of his ATP matches. But if 2001 is anything to go by then expect Goran to step straight into gear as soon as the Championships start.

Goran has always been a crowd favourite here at Wimbledon, and we would certainly love to see him in yet another epic final. Good luck Goran!
