Level 3 Head Coach - Rainford Tennis Club, Lancashire
Rate of Pay
The self-employed Head Coach would be responsible for the following areas:
Managing and delivering the Club's coaching programme, including Mini Tennis, Junior Squads and Adult Coaching, Tennis Xpress, Cardio Tennis and Disability Tennis, Schools and Parks programmes, as well as individual lessons.
To actively promote and monitor membership of Rainford Tennis Club to all participants of coaching activities.
Managing and delivering the Club's adult and junior competition programme, including providing support to adult and junior teams.
Managing and supporting a team of tennis coaches and maintaining good relationships with the Club's volunteers and committees.
Maintaining strong relationships with local partners, including St Helens Council, LTA and Tennis Foundation.
The candidate would be expected to meet the following criteria:
LTA Accredited Coach to Level 3 or higher (or an experienced Level 2 Coach committed to achieving Level 3.)
Experience of managing coaching programmes and coaches in an outdoor club.
Strong organisational and communication skills, including financial reporting.
Rainford Tennis Club is an outdoor 6 court facility based at the Jubilee Recreation Ground, near St Helens in Merseyside. The Club is based in the village of Rainford, which has a population of over 9,000 people and has three primary schools and a large secondary school, which the Club has strong links with. Until recently, the Club had an existing programme of Mini Tennis, Junior Squads and Adult Coaching and the successful candidate would be required to work with the Committee to reinstate these activities for the 2018 season. The Club does have a strong programme of Club teams, regular competitions and social activities.
